SPECIAL EVENTS SECTION
Special
Events
Purcell Lodge has hosted
many special events since 1989. Team building seminars, management
and sales meetings, incentive rewards, planning workshops, weddings,
family re-unions, anniversaries, and of course honeymoons, are some
common events.
Reserve a room, or reserve
the whole lodge, we have a history of developing specific programming
for specialty needs, and hosting successful (and very private) events.
Perhaps our biggest asset is that we are a genuine retreat, free
of any interruption. You will have the undivided attention of your
participants or guests. There is no better place for productive
meetings or memorable events. Support services include TV, VCR,
slide projector, overhead projector, flip charts, etc. Please call
to discuss your needs and to allow us to develop a proposal for
your consideration. Remember to ask about our new private meeting
and conference room.

NEW! Purcell Lodge Conference Room NEW!
Our new boardroom serves
to further protect the privacy we are already known for, and also
offers you additional flexibility for your plenary and breakout
sessions. This private and very cozy facility boasts a gorgeous
handmade board table, reclining leather chairs, projection screen,
standard audio-visual equipment, plus some stunning mountain views.
To support your company goals we would also like to help you incorporate
important and socially interactive recreational "windows" into
your meeting itinerary. A group hike, snowshoe or ski, free from
interaction with other members of the public, will go miles towards
establishing a strong interpersonal bond between the key members
of your management or sales team. Nowhere is this more true than
in the wilderness surrounding Purcell Lodge! We host groups of
up to thirty in an uncommonly intimate manner. Take advantage
of the 24-hour group immersion that we offer for your next corporate
retreat! Live, eat, meet, and play together! It will make your
company stronger. Off -season : (April through June, and October
through December) corporate retreats requiring exclusive use of
Purcell Lodge, will receive complimentary use of the new conference
facilities. Groups not paying for exclusive use of the lodge,
or those booking during other times of the year, are assessed
a modest $500 per night surcharge for full access to the conference
room and all associated support services.

Purcell
Lodge itself, is situated on an extensive alpine plateau
(the largest in southern British Columbia) called Bald Mountain,
and has a commanding presence just above timberline, at an elevation
of 7200 feet. Copperstain Mountain is just across the Spillimacheen
River to the north east of the lodge, and the ramparts of the Selkirk
Mountains, including Mount Sir Donald are directly west of the lodge
across the Beaver River Valley.
This
combination of gentle alpine meadows, moderate sub-alpine slopes,
and challenging yet accessible mountain peaks and ridges, is simply
not found anywhere else in western Canada
