Turn your Rocky Mountaineer tour to Gold with this Canadian Concierge Vacation. You will be greeted upon arrival at the Vancouver International Airport and transferred to your downtown accommodation at either the Canadian Pacific's Hotel Vancouver or the Waterfront Centre. The afternoon is yours to explore this fabulous coast city. The next morning you'll travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops enjoying our renowned GoldLeaf Service. You'll view the torrent of water through Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and follow the Thompson River to Kamloops. Enjoy breakfast and lunch onboard. Dinner this evening is either at your Kamloops hotel or Two River Junction Dinner & Musical Review. The second day onboard the Rocky Mountaineer takes you past the snowy peaks of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. After you pass Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, the Rocky Mountaineer will enter Jasper National Park, en route to Jasper where you'll spend the night at the Jasper Park Lodge. Enjoy dinner at the Lodge. A relaxing morning leads into an afternoon tour of Jasper with your guide and concierge. A specially designed motorcoach provides extra legroom and additional comfort. Highlights of the day include Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Maligne Canyon, and Athabasca viewpoint. On your fifth morning, travel in comfort between Jasper and Lake Louise by motorcoach. Your driver / guide will show you the highlights of one of the most scenic highways of the world, the Icefields Parkway, on your way to the Columbia Icefield. There you will ride a Snocoach to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Afterwards you'll pass the Crowfoot Glacier and Peyto Lake on your way to a night at the Chateau Lake Louise or Post Hotel. A glorious morning in Lake Louise, a motorcaoch will take you on an afternoon tour of Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders, such as Emerald Lake and natural rock bridge. If you travel between June and September, additional stops will be made at the picturesque Moraine Lake, Takakkaw Falls, and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. After another night at your hotel in Lake Louise, you'll journey to Banff past the Vermilion Lakes, Castle Mountain and Johnston Canyon. After lunch in Banff a sightseeing tour shows you the highlights of Banff including Sulphur Mountain Gondola. After bidding farewell to your guide and concierge, you'll spend the night at the Banff Springs Hotel or Rimrock Resort Hotel. The eighth day of your tour will be spent exploring Banff National Park on your own. Some of the activities you might take in include a soak in the mineral pools at Upper Hot Springs, a visit to Banff's historic museums, or a round of golf at Banff Springs. After one more night in Banff, a sedan car will take you to the Calgary International Airport or downtown Calgary, where your Canadian Rockies Gold Tour ends. |
