A terrific adventure through the Old West from the gateway city of Denver.

SATURDAY Denver, Colorado Arrive in Denver at your leisure and transfer to your hotel. This evening, join the welcome orientation hosted by your Montana Rockies Rail Tours representative.

SUNDAY Denver to Rawlins, Wyoming Board your motorcoach to begin your journey through the American West. Travel
north into Wyoming with lunch (on your own) in Laramie, the "gem of the plains." 
Your tour continues through the Medicine Bow National Forest, crossing the Snowy
Range Pass 10,847 feet. (NOTE: Tour takes an alternate route if the pass is closed
due to snow.) Continue to Rawlins and tour the Wyoming Frontier Prison before checking into your hotel. (CB)

MONDAY Rawlins to Cody, Wyoming Today your motorcoach will traverse the high, rugged interior plateau of Wyoming.
You'll stop at Split Rock, a geological landmark on the Oregon Trail that was a
Pony Express Station in the 1860s, then visit the Mormon Handcart Visitor Center.
Lunch is in Riverton (on your own). Continue through the Wind River Canyon
to Thermopolis to view the massive hot springs and the Wyoming Dinosaur Center.
In late afternoon, arrive in Cody. Explore this delightful western village, watch the
Cody Gunslingers perform in front of the Irma Hotel (June 1 - August 31, free), and
be sure to take in the nightly rodeo (June 1 - August 31, admission not included in

TUESDAY Cody to Yellowstone National Park
After continental breakfast, explore the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Lunch today is included at the famous Irma Hotel, plus a guided tour of the hotel’s highlights. After lunch, your motorcoach follows the highway through the startling beauty of Shoshone Canyon and over Sylvan Pass in Yellowstone National Park, en route to your Yellowstone accommodations. WEDNESDAY Yellowstone  to West Yellowstone, Montana

Today you will experience world-famous Yellowstone National Park, including Old Faithful (where you’ll have lunch at the Old Faithful Inn, included) and a variety of other scenic wonders. Have your camera ready as Yellowstone offers a variety of
wildlife including bears, elk, bison, moose, bighorn sheep and more. Tonight you'll begin a two-night stay in the unique village of West Yellowstone. (CB, L)

DAY 6 Thursday
West Yellowstone, Montana

You're off once again to explore Yellowstone National Park by coach. Today you'll see Norris Geyser Basin and Mammoth Hot Springs, returning to West Yellowstone for a second night. (CB)

DAY 7 Friday
West Yellowstone to Missoula, Montana

An early departure! Board your motorcoach for Livingston, Montana. Tour the historic
Livingston Depot Center, then board the Montana Daylight for your first day of rail
adventure. Lunch is served on board while the train crosses several breathtaking trestles before arriving in Missoula, Montana for your overnight stay. Optional activities
tonight include a short walk to the hand-carved Carousel for Missoula. (CB, L)

DAY 8 Saturday
Missoula to Spokane, Washington

Your second day of rail travel through the heart of the Rockies. Enjoy lunch on board the train. A coach ride transfers you to your Spokane hotel. Tonight’s optional activities include dinner and shopping along Riverfront Park. (CB, L)

DAY 9 Sunday
Spokane, Washington

After continental breakfast, your tour ends with a transfer to the Spokane airport. (CB)
